Privacy Policy
PawCheck Dog Scanner. Last updated May 14, 2026.
PawCheck Dog Scanner helps dog owners scan visible health concerns such as poop, skin, gums, vomit, food, and symptoms, then organize notes, photos, risk checks, and care reminders. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Account information, such as your email address (only if you choose to provide one) or an anonymous account identifier we generate on your device.
- Dog profile details you enter, such as name, breed, age, weight, and care notes.
- Photos, images, or short videos you choose to scan or save in the app. Short videos may include audio if your device records audio with the clip.
- Scan results, health timeline entries, mood history, diary entries, reminders, and app activity.
- A push notification token from your device, so we can deliver the daily health reminder you opted into. Tokens are stored on your account row and never sold or shared.
- Purchase and subscription status from Apple and RevenueCat.
- Basic device, diagnostic, and usage data needed to operate and improve the app.
Anonymous accounts
You can use PawCheck without signing in. When you do, we create an anonymous account on your device that holds your pet profiles and scan history. This account is tied to your app install: if you reinstall the app or move to a new device without backing up, a new anonymous account is created and the previous data may no longer be accessible. You can email an address into the app at any time to make recovery easier later.
How we use information
- To provide dog photo and video analysis, risk-level health checks, mood tracking, timelines, reminders, and reports.
- To generate stylized AI portraits of your dog based on the photos you scan, so you can share a mood card. Portraits are generated by a third-party image model and are not retained on our servers beyond the time needed to deliver them to your device.
- To send the daily health-check push notification you opted into, plus the optional weekly recap and win-back nudges.
- To keep your account, pet profiles, scan history, and subscription status in sync.
- To improve reliability, understand feature usage, and fix bugs.
- To respond to support requests and prevent misuse of the service.
AI and veterinary disclaimer
PawCheck is an informational wellness tool. It is not a veterinarian, does not diagnose disease, and should not replace professional veterinary care. If you think your dog may be sick, injured, or in distress, contact a veterinarian or emergency clinic.

We keep information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request account or data deletion by contacting support.
